Up To Fairbanks By Train, Part Two

Look carefully in the upper left of screen, below trees and this side of river. There you will see a mother moose and her calf.

The calf kept wanting to cross the river. The mother moose tried to keep that from happening. Usually mothers know best.

The calf insisted that it was going to cross the river. And it did shortly after this photo was taken.

We were very, very fortunate to be able to see a mother moose and her calf close enough to be able to take these photos. This is representative of the Alaska that many of us dream about. We were blessed; for a couple of weeks, we lived it. Let’s go back!
